Saddle up and join the Desert Sands Educational Foundation's fourth annual gala, Sands and Spurs. This western-themed fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 4:30 p.m., at The Packhouse at Aziz Farms in support of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education for Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD) students.
Over the last four years, the Desert Sands Educational Foundation has funded more than 240 classroom grants for teachers to use toward STEAM-related activities and programs, impacting more than 53,000 DSUSD students.
STEAM education helps students develop well-rounded skills, including critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. It's about preparing students for future challenges by giving them the tools they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.
